Motorised folding number plate

Same unit that Tarmac supplies, but I got this before he started the group buy from eBay. Bought only a few months back, I fitted it to the car and the transponder for the key fob was fried after washing the car one day water got into the unit and it short-circuited

 

So, what we have left is a working motor and the actual folding plate unit

 

Very easy to wire up a switch for inside the car to make it work

No key fob or wireless capability obviously, so £50 collected or £60 delivered

Hi stupid question..

 

but how do you make the plate go up and down now? or is only working when done manually by hand?

I don't use it at the moment, if I wanted to make it move I'd stick a 9v battery on the motor terminals

 

Simply needs a 3 way switch (up, down, neutral) connected to a 12v supply in the car and you've got the novelty back that works from inside the car

 

Original price for this was like £130 or something I think, so less than half price for the same amount of fun, just needs a quick 30min mod made up

Very easy I'd imagine

 

Just find an ignition live so that once the key is turned it pops up
