pathfinder123 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I was wondering if there are pads that produce less brake dust than the standard ones I have fitted at present. Ones giving either the same or better braking performance... Cheers S. Quote
Renegade Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Redstuff are the cleanest I have had. I have Brembo in at the moment and they are scruffy. Quote
pathfinder123 Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) Many thanks. I will look at the Redstuff... S. Edited May 4, 2013 by pathfinder123 Quote
cs2000 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I always thought the EBC Redstuff were pretty good with dust too, but not sure id fit them on the Zed. The OEM brembos are very bad. In the end ive just (this weekend) changed to Ferodo pads, they seem decent so far. Very easy job to do aswell, surprised me. Quote
BulletMagnet Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Also depends what discs you have, one would expect that slotted and/or drilled discs may produce more dust compared to plain discs due to the deglazing? Quote
pathfinder123 Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 Just finished fitting Redstuff to all 4 corners. Standard discs. Compared with changing pads on other cars, the Brembro's design makes it a walk in the park... S. Quote
pathfinder123 Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Out for a longish run. Even without the pads being fully bedded in, stopping is much better than with the stock pads. Well pleased... S. Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 The Redstuff do emit little dust, we're about to fit some to a members Zed shortly... Full range available from us - http://cougarstore.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_7&zenid=f940ff2a250f675538952450987f04b9 Quote
