x20drb Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Not sure if anyone has any experience with this, but I have picked up a golf mk4 cheap, apparently the speedos been changed (typical, one with higher mileage) and needs to get reduced back to original mileage, sounds like the dark art of clocking, can I get this done anywhere? could I do it myself? Pnthrblkzs Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I think it can be done with VAGCOM if I remember from my Octavia vRS days. Phone some VAG specialists or join a VAG forum, there are normally lists of owners with this software posted who will sort it for beer money. Quote
MidnightRacer Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 Clocking is making a vehicle look like it has done different mileage to what it actually has. (usually a lot less). It is also illegal. What you need is mileage correction. all but the same thing only legal and slightly more acceptable! you can usually send your dash off to a company that will do it or you could look for someone local. putting your location up might help too!
