Guys,

Does or has anyone used the Poorboys products?

I'm looking at some new wheel cleaner and protector for the new wheels which have a diamond chrome lip. I've been using the Meguairs Hot Wheels cleaner up till now on the Rays and it goes so quick! and just started using this Rimwax to try to protect. But was after something a bit better......

Rimwax:

Been looking into it a little and was wondering about this stuff:

Cleaner:

and Sealant:

Any comments please before I try?

not tried any of these , I use Rimwax, but to be honest I think whatever you use on bare alloy lips you will end up using Autosol every so often to keep the shine :)

Is it safe to use Autosol every now and again on Chrome Rims?

I wouldnt use Autosol on chrome lips , it's a bit abrasive :) best to stick to a soft polish I would have thought

you can tell really.... mine are chromed for example. Liam's are bare alloy (both liam's)

I'd rather have bare alloy tbh, much easier to refurb by yourself after a curb incident

Mmmmm I think mine are bare alloy, as similar to the GT-Cs that I sold to Liam (i think)...... but not 100% sure.....

will investigate

easy to tell, put a bit of Autosol on a clean rag and rub , if the rag turns black it's bare alloy

Does this potentially involve scratching the hell out of the rim as well?

Autoglym SRP and EGP supposed to be good for cleaning and sealing, i'll prolly try the combo on my next major clean.
