Best HPI checks?

Last time I did one I used Experian for the history check as that's who I thought were best at the time, paid around £20. Is there a stand out company to use that most people seem to go with?

RAC do one and for extra they send a mechanic to look over the car for you. Never used them though. Just heard about it.
