Oil pressure sensor

Hi all,

My import 02 plate, I've had a rebuild done as the rings were worn, and turntable out the bores are fine,

But I still get 120psi, on the gauge, the oil is just below the full mark, I was just wondering if their is a different sensor in the jam cars for the Kpa dials than the psi,

Not sure - is this an after market gauge or the OEM one?

 

What oil is it and was it hot?

 

Mine is over 100psi cold drops as she warms up.

 

I would plug a stand alone oil pressure gauge in to be sure.

Cold it sits at around 100psi, this is 10/40w oil, on a oem dial, but when warm and around 20/30psi if I rev it to around 3.5 k it goes to 120psi with no load on the engine

Yeah I have been thinking of using a test unit to verify the oem gauges

where are you based i have a 350z jdm dial in the garage or someone close to you may have similar if just to test if it the dials or some other problem

But I will ask one of the fitters in work if he has a oil pressure guage kicking around
