WoREoD Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Anyone used one of those chip repair outfits that often setup in the car parks outside big DIY stores. I know they're really there to seel you a new windscreen but I wondered if anyone had a chip repaired and, if so, what it was like? TIA Quote
Rob_Quads Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 99% won't be there to fit replacement windows. I went to one of my local ones and he did a great job. Just had to give him my insurance details. Had a bit of a chat to him about the business. Most are franchised but then once they have done it for a while a lot start trading on thier own so they don't have to pay the franchise costs. if they cannot repair it they won't get a penny as 99% of people will just go through their insurance. Chris`I Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 The RAC did mine, free of charge as part of my insurance. Could hardly see it was there and it was a large chip! Quote
