Whazza22 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Hi all My 350z is standard apart from a JWT popcharger and k1 exhaust. It still has the original 17" alloys which look pretty small and are sunk in the wheel arches Would like some opinions on whether to fork out a hefty amount on 18" alloys with spacers or fork out a little and lower 30mm all round. Thanks Quote
Whazza22 Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 Or alternatively, lower and get spacers then leave wheels same...hmmm Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 You could buy 18" wheels that don't require spacers, in the right fitment... Quote
S1 HNK Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 wheels will make the biggest difference. 17's will always look too small on the 350Z Quote
Whazza22 Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 What sort of offset would I need to not require spacers? Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Around ET20 works well... Moreso in 19" fitment... ET20 examples can be seen here - http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/32711-rota-gtr-wheels-%e2%80%93-350z-fitment-from-cougar-store/ Quote
Whazza22 Posted November 2, 2012 Author Posted November 2, 2012 Ideal! My budget isn't the greatest so looks like 2nd hand booooo Quote
Frazo Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 if you're gonna get bigger wheels and not lower it at the same time try and make sure that its a lower profile tyre , if you can keep the tyre diameter the same as it is youll be fine , if its bigger your car will look on stilts mate Quote
ddcboyle Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I still think 18's arent big enough for the zed, alloys make all the difference. A nice set of 19's might set you back a bit, but id say their going to look better than dropping the car a bit, and a bit comfier ride Quote
Whazza22 Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Will have to look around for some nice wheels then Do 19s cause any rubbing at all? Quote
Whazza22 Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Would BMW wheels fit such as these; http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=140876608667&kw=140876608667 Quote
Ian Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Will have to look around for some nice wheels then Do 19s cause any rubbing at all? Depends on how low, what width and what offset they are. BMW wheels will fit but you need to fit adaptors to do so. Those BMW wheels are gash though Quote
Luke0549 Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Those wheels are horrible. Go for some bbs lm reps in 19' going to need wobble bolts and spacers to fit, but they'll look awesome and can get a set for under £500 second hand with tyres. I've got a set of matte black team dynamic 18" with tyres for sale at a damn good price ATM. Pm if your interested. Quote
Whazza22 Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Pm sent Forgot to ask about the offset Has anyone got any pics of a silver zed with Matt black alloys? Quote
