Another tyre size question

Hi guys,

 

Sorry if this has been brought up before. I have the standard 18" rays I am looking at replacing my front tyres but noticed that the ones at the moment are 235/45/18 and after searching noticed a lot of people run 225/45/18 and I am unsure which one to go for. Could anyone advise

Standard sizes are:-

 

STANDARD UK RAYS

Front 225/45/18

Rear 245/45/18

 

I'd stay with that or you may encounter traction control issues

I've used 235/40/18 with 245/45/18. I'm not on 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 now though.

Cheers guys, will stick with the 225/45/18 as blackboots have plenty in stock

 

Will also be getting my alignment done as my fronts have slightly more wear on the inside. Am I right in saying that the front are not camber adjustable and if not what would be the best way to correct them?

I could be wrong but I think they are adjustable but very slighlty. If your lowered after market control arms are your best bet.

Thanks Dblock, im not lowered, would love to be but sadly dont have as much expendable cash as i would like lol.

Excessive toe-in will also wear the insides more quickly, which is a relatively easy thing to fix - the 10mm extra width would have exacerbated this. There is no camber adjustment on the front, they should be fine from the factory when not lowered. If the camber is checked and is out of whack, it means there is something worn or bent.

Thanks for all the info guys Will be take the zed to Blackboots to get the front changed and try and solve the alignment problem
