Jayp350z
Is there a way to make the oem alarm loader? The reason I ask is because someone has bashed into my passenger door leaving a large dent and the only times it could have happened was at home or at work and I never heard the alarm go off. I've tested the alarm to check it works ok, which it does, but it's just not very loud.
4RE Leather
Our alarms get set off every Thursday evening from the noise of the ICE systems. They really are quiet so it would be nice to pump up the volume!
spursmaddave
How would a louder alarm have helped unless you actually saw it happen

4RE Leather
How would a louder alarm have helped unless you actually saw it happen Because an alarm is audiable. To see it involves eye sight. The idea is to emit a sound to alert you to the possibility that the car is being knicked. otherwise you would have to live in it lol! He would have heard it mad Spurs!! Fodder
I asked this a while back and didnt find an answer. Was quite shocked at how quiet the OEM alarm is. EDIT: Link to my topic viewtopic.php?f=9&t=62943&start=
Jayp350z
I'm fairly certain the alarm would have gone off judging by the size of the dent, it must have been quite an impact. In the past my brother in law's subwoofer has set it off as he drove past it so an impact must have triggered it. If I had heard the alarm go off I could have ran outside and caught whoever it was or at least their reg as they drove off.
