Replacement head unit for 04-350z.

I have an 04-350z What stereo head units can be recommended to replace the original without affecting the steering wheel volume controls or handsfree mobile capability.

 

Can anyone recommend a retailer/installer.

Where are you based chap? If London, then Dynamic Sounds in Wandsworth are good guys for installation and they also have a top range of headunits

 

Alpine and Pioneer are popular. If I was buying again I'd think twice about Kenwood tbh - there's some aspects of my unit that are a tad annoying.

 

Also if you want to retain steering wheel controls you will need the requisite parts from Sextons (there is a thread on here somewhere)

Pretty sure you will loose the BT steering wheel function with a new HU, just get one with BT built in

Hi Simon I am in Worcester so will need a fix closer to home, however heard good things about the Kenwood before so thanks for the extra heads up on this.

i have the JVC KW-AVX640, i got a loom with retains the steering wheel controls, very good head unit, transforms sound quality and not expensive

+1, let's be honest the Zed BT is pants in comparison to a quality after market head unit with BT built in
