Hey, i need to transport a bike and lots of luggage back home from abroad, ive been looking/searching online for a solution. So far

1. Boofsquire... great :teeth: ..i want one... but they seem to be off line re-designing it  . so unless someone is selling 2nd hand??

2. Bird automotive. seems good :D ( tail bike rack ).. no response from inquiries.

3. Searching forums etc... seen a few owners talking about a " saris bones " rack, but there website doesnt say suitable for 350z.

So here i am ... at the mercy of the best 350 forum on the net.. :teeth: Anyone with experience on the subject to help me out with advice??

Thanks in advance

I havent seen one yet that is good enough to transport a bike at speed for any great distance. I had a Halfords one modified (bought it modified) which fits to the toe eye on the rear and has 2 support legs to stop it twisting. Was a good idea, but was never convinced how good it was.

I think the best one thus far is the Bird Automotive if you can afford it and dont mind the installation involved.

i looked into getting a proper rack that fits over whole length/width of the boot. was VERY expensive and pretty cumbersome. think it was the boofsquire one.

event looked at a custom fabrication from a mate. but it would have looked crap and been hard to adjust properly when getting on and off.

there is not really many options, sorry to say.

best option is to ship your stuff to the UK i would say. probably cheaper.

Hey their,

Yeah the boofsquire looks great but the website states that they are re-designing their product and are off-line... not doing any business at the moment. a shame!

And the Bird automotive are not picking up the phone... and your right Chris'I ...it does look a hassle to install and in dollars its not cheap.. I can't get a £ price as they dont return my calls, ive given up, ive left messages .. but to no avail

in the end went onto a roof rack specialist website, rang them up. Spoke to a helpful Goerdie @ northeast roofracks and he assured me that the " Saris bones 2 " will do the job. @ £99 its not too expensive either. Rubber feet also! save the paintwork. :D

Thanks for the input chaps and im glad to see that someone has road tested it.. cheers carrotcake. It will help in my decision of which route to leave Denmark by..... I could take a 24 hr ferry fride from Denmark to the uk or...a 550 mile road trip via the cofee bars and lady entertainment of " The Dam ". ..... Holland here i come!! Thanks
