Whats the average age of a zed owner? new for 2012

24 here. First "proper" car - drove my mum's Polo for a few years and had a horrid Corsa. Been carless for a while or driving the company Prius (which is worse than being carless tbh)

Glad that so many votes have been received - working in market research as i do, id say that 173 is a prett good base size!

 

However doesnt perfectly answer the original stated question, as they have to be a member of this forum, which will mean there will be more younger votes.

 

Cant be bothered to do a follow up on gender... i dont think the results for that would be very exciting... my guess is 90% male ownership?

Without trying to be crass, i think it'd be really interesting to see an age vs salary comparison too.

 

that only works if you also add in the variable for those who paid in full and those who have it on finance.

 

i bought mine 4 years ago when they were expensive to buy, and paid cash outright and was 26

 

for what i paid then i could buy 3 zeds for the same money.

 

there are still people on here who bought them new who piad twice what i did; the demographics have changed dramatically i think from a while ago.

 

Yeh I didn't really mean it as a competition to look who's the most wealthy, but instead to kind off see what sort or salary demographic owns a zed. I.e. is it rich youngsters, or average salary salary middle aged people etc. We all see the zed as being better than your run of the mill cars so I wondered if that was reflected in people's incomes. It's obviously not 911 or M3 money, but then they're not Fiesta money either, but are low income people driving zeds, or people with 911 money in them as well etc...
