w1z Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Hi guys, I hope this in the correction section. I don’t drive my beast much but last month I noticed the handbrake light and the traction control light were both constantly on while driving, it would go off sometimes but generally stay on. A few weeks later the same lights were still on this time they were joined by the engine management light. I took it for a spin a few days ago and now just the engine management light is on, the acar seems to drive fine....Any ideas. Quote

spursmaddave Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Mine was a rear brake light switch that triggered an abs fault, sounds similar ie fault triggers abs which triggers ecu, my car drive fine but worth checking out starting with the code Quote
M13KYF Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 low brake fluid will trigger the handbrake light. Have you checked the level Quote

Darren-B Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 I was going to say the same as mike, check the fluid level, if low it normally means your pads are getting low, if you top it up to much its likely to overflow on the next pad change Quote
w1z Posted January 7, 2012 Author Posted January 7, 2012 its to read the code. Il dig the link out Just found the post Quote
