Wiring up After market fans

OK ive searched a load of forums including here, but cant seem to find a guide on how to connect up aftermarket fans. I found 1 which at first glance seemed to be THE ONE. But halfway through, the wire colouring differed to mine, so that went out the window.

Any help would be much appreciated. I dont want to go out and buy an additional fan controller as it appers that they can be wired up to the stock wiring

Hi there Yes rad fans. Ideally i need someone with an import Z to take a look at the location of the colours on 8 wires then get back to me. May post up in general

What i need is the colour/location of the rad fan wires Not the immediate plugs that plugs into the fans, but the other end. that plugs into the loom. 2x plugs each with 4 wires. Colours can be seen without cutting or damaging or unclipping anything approx 1-2 ft from the fans.

Its the final piece to the repair of my front end damaged car.

I still have the stock fans but had issues finding a sensibly priced cowling for them, so opted to go for aftermarket slimline fans.

Yes both fans have 4 wires each, that as far as im aware control at low and high speed, but also come on when the aircon is activated. Ive removed the aircon, so really just need them to come on when the engine temp requires them to.

have you wired in a set in the past.

Ps, i picked up a burgandy R32 from you a whileback. You said to say hello to Colin at CAT. I said hello. He is still based at Millbrook. Come on down.

Hey Taner

i just stuck aftermarket fans on my Z as the oem ones failed. After searching for ways to do it i ended up just running a manual switch as it was easier and less complicated to do.

Nev and F1 Moto was doing mine and even he couldnt get his head around it and was to long winded for him to bother. He's a genius with wiring so i took his word for it .

The only other way round it i foudn was to get a thermostatic fan controller from someone like rally design and sick that in the top hose and have that wired into the Aftermarket fans. Ran that sort of system in my 32 drift car and worked fine for 2 years

Cheers for the replies people but ive managed to get my head round it earlier. 20 mins with the wiring diagrams and a bucket of ' here goes nothing' and all is well. Fans work as they should.

:D :D

Nev??? is he still about. i met him a while back. I sold him a roll cage tube notcher. Quality bloke. Funny as hell.
