Clarkie Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Travelled down to Suprapod this weekend from Aberdeen with a few folk off the mkivsupra.net forum this weekend. Decided to head down a day early and get the car tuned at RSTuning in Leeds. Turns out the engine was running very lean which has now been rectified and she is driving so much better now, it's like driving a different car. In the end she reached 272 HP with 252 Ftlb. So we left Leeds with enough electronics to succesfully sink a ship and still managed to get lost several time thanks to co-pilot being a numpty After our rendezvous with the Supra guys at a service station we made it to the hotel in Wellingborough. Headed to Supra Racing Designs for a BBQ on the Friday, what an amazing place. Can't help but be impressed with some of the cars these guys are working on! After a quiet Friday night... It was off to Santa Pod for the event, now i could upload a few thousand pictures of Supras here, but be thankful i won't. Raced against a bunch of NA Supras and thankfully beat them. Sadly the TT ones were a wee bit faster and the 1200bhp ones were just ridiculous! My best 1/4 mile time was 14.4229 @ 99.28mph I did take a wee trip to Zedfest on the Sunday with another forum member (Blackie who has some more pics) but we turned up at 1pm and everyone had left... so chatted to a few guys for ten mins and headed back! And just as the trip had started a horrendously long drive home. Thankfully cruise control came into its own here! I think you'll agree with me that she takes a good picture And as per usual my navigator was being rubbish Amazing weekend overall. Made a heap of new friends and had far too much fun in the Zed! Voodoo Vix Posted August 18, 2011 Share Posted August 18, 2011 We were there on the Saturday but went home about 4ish, some lovely cars there, saw you go down the strip a few times, although didn't realise you were a member on here or would've made an effort to come and say hi whilst avoiding the bloody wasps! Ive sen the vid's of Jamie sup that is just fast as hell! Shame he didnt do 160mph trap to shut the US supra forums up about his pump fuel power! loll... Would love to do some drag racing, once me got a new job and have some spare cash will invest in a revup and be heading over to Santa Pod...maybe! Jamie's Supra was amazing, first car i drove against! I actually beat him too, but he was having problems... i still beat him though yeah? Definitely want to drag next time. Few of the guys killed their clutches and I think a gearbox went too, especially the FTO that spat it innerds all over the strip! Jamie had a few issues that day, think his best run was 10.1, although the young guy with the blue drag supra (can't remember his name) got into the 8s I think.
