As title suggests. If car has been locked with the button press fob, will the alarm sound if i unlock it with the spare key that does not have a button on it and open the door?

Missus has gone away over night and taken the main key with her by mistake and i need to get in it!! Manual is in it too so cant check in that. Also noticed red security light on top of dash by windscreen was still flashing when i unlocked it, hence why ive not opened the door yet..

You should have 3 keys.

The one you just described is the Valet key. You should have 2 full remote keys too.

It should deactivate the alarm, and allow you to drive the car as normal.

So the valet key should def deactivate the alarm? With the red light still flashing after i unlocked it with this key i didnt want to open it till im 100%..?

no the valet key will make the alarm sound when you open it as you have to manually open the door by key.

If you then proceed to start the car, put key in ignition, the alarm will stop.
