Wheel sizes

Hi guys,

I'm looking at, getting some new wheels on my z once I have it but I'm struggling to find any 18's that match the size of the stock RAYS. Does anybody know if this is a common issue as I don't really want to go stupidly large but don't want the handling to be affected as the RAYS are 18 x 8.0 front and 8.5 rear. The problem seems to be finding nice wheels that go over the 7.5 width mark.

any help would be appreciated.

cheers guys

Sounds like your looking at fwd hatchback sized wheels. You should be having trouble finding wheels as thin as 8" let alone as wide as 8" as most JDM and US wheel manufacturers start from 8/9j upto 11j

What are you looking at?

Strange this because I also have the standard wheels ( not rays ) and also looking to find some 18'' wheels. I asked Micheldever tyres ( local compnay ) to come up with available wheels that fit the Z. Whilst I was at the counter he phoned a few of their contacts and only came up with one matching wheel which was in black which I do not want.

Hopefully popping down to see this company this weekend - http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/vauxhall/ac ... heels.html as they had been recommended to me. Anyone used them at all?

CMR I'm looking at ten spoke wheels for my Z as their just a personal fav of mine. Ideally i want some that ark out slightly like the Kahn RSV but my main issue is i dont want to affect the handling and also the Brembo's look awesome behind an 18 so i dont really want to go larger.

RC182 I feel your pain, ive seen some nice KEI Force 10's that i love but again only up to 7.5 width.

If there are any Jap wheel specialists out there lets us know!

Cheap wheels are generally heavy. Bear in mind, the standard rays weigh 17lb a wheel.

IMHO you will affect handling with a: Wider b: Heavier wheels . I didn't get my gts's for handling sake.

If however, you're looking at rays/dpe/advan, they make some very light wheels with a lot of concavity.

They do seem to stock rota's which are good budget wheels, but I'd support traders on here tbh where possible
