Anything to look out for on 2005 models?

I am going to bite the bullet and buy a 2005 '05' 350Z this weekend. I don't really know anything about 350Z other than the short service intervals of 9000 miles. Other than that I'm hearing they're bulletproof.

 

Is anything I need to know/check in particular with a 350Z, especially something that could be fatal.

They are pritty good beasts but when I was searching for mine I came across the faulty window motor problem and another car with squeeky rear suspension apart from that not much goes wrong with them

Yup my 350z had a faulty window motor but they repaired it prior to me picking it up. Other than that check the usual things like the service manual etc.

Just looking into getting the car serviced and initially when i bought the car the man at the garage said 9000 miles, however popped in the garage on the way back from work and after jointly referring to the manual (and also the fact that the oil is fully synthetic) he is now saying 18000 miles or maximum a year???

 

tried to search the forum and found nothing conclusive...

 

Simplistically is the service interval 9000 or 18000??
