Service... P1 I think

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

My 53 plate 350z is due a service, it has done 25k miles now, so I think by looking at the service schedule that it is due a P1.

I have looked almost everywhere on this site but I am strruggling to find a definitive answer, is it best to go to Nissan to keep the FNSH or should I go somewhere where they would possibly charge less and know more about what they're doing?

Also, which are the best places to go for a service round here? (Sussex/Surrey)

Many thanks in advance,

Will

Regarding which service is due, your car is now 7 years old. Look back through your service history and see if a P3 has ever been carried out. If not, I'd say its due one.

The schedule states xxxx miles or xxxx years which ever is sooner.

Hello, many thanks for this, it has already had a P3 about 3 or 4 years ago so I'm pretty sure it's a P1 that's required.

I will call Abbey then to see if they can fit me in.

Is it worth ruining the FNSH though?

Service should be P1, P2, P1, P3 then just repeat. Check your service history to see which is required next. Services should be carried out every 9000 miles or every 12 months, whichever is sooner.

Totally up to you.

If you don't have any kind of warranty still on going, I'd take it to someone like Abbey to do. I'd also get a Uprev done while I'm there. :teeth:

Personally I'd try and keep the FNSH unless I was planning on keeping the car until it's dead. I reckon you'd have a tough time explaining who Abbey MS are to 80% of people who would be looking to buy a 350Z so you'd limit your target audience more... but that's just me.
