Anyone repainted the roof black on convertibles?

My roof is looking a bit grey on my 350z convertible, just wondered if anyone had managed to repaint or re-black so to speak their roof?

I have done mine, it worked well. I will do an ET and find out what I used, not at home at the moment.

i use renovo roof cleaner and protector and that works well, its also a restorer.

Does the renovo give black its black colour?

if it is a vinyl roof i used a cheap back to black spray can to do my mx5 one and it came up really well and stayed like it,

there is also raggtop cleaner and protector, and another favourite on the S forum is something else which i'll find out and add later.

 

 

yes the renovo helps to keep the roof looking black. i usually top it up every couple of months. works as a good UV protector and helps keep the roof clean.

thats right they do a reviver, i use their cleaner and protectant.

 

the reviver is very good and the weapon of choice for most classic car owners

yeah, if you wanted the full works, first soak the roof with a house pipe, then scrub with the cleaner, if you 've got a hoover with water extraction use that, if not rinse off, then use the renovator and the protector
