wide Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 hi folks whats the best thing to use to get the sticky sponge off from under the badges? thanks matt Quote
H5 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Warm it slightly (leave in the sun first) and roll it off with your finger / thumb. If sunshine doesn't do it, soften the glud GENTLY with a hairdryer or similar. DO NOT use a heat gun, you'll blister the paint. Quote
ikarus Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 white spirit worked for me, dissolves the adhesive and doesn't harm the paint work AFAIK. That or the dedicated panel wipe stuff that spray shops use. Quote
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Soapy warm water and a hell of a lot of elbow grease got mine off Quote
ikarus Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 White spirit shifts it in a few seconds with very little effort Quote
H5 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Just be very careful with white spirit on lacquer..... one sure way to get it going milky! Quote
andyzed Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I used this to remove it after I removed all my rear OEM badges http://www.amazon.co.uk/WOWOOO-Goo-Gone ... B003BQRQ02 Quote
ChrisS Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover work as well. Quote
