Sealant after wax...incorrect?

Hi all,

 

Just wanted your opinions on whether i've messed up here...i've put on some AG "Extra Gloss Protection" sealant after a layer of Megs "NXT Tech Wax 2.0" - have I done this the wrong way around?!

 

My steps were

1) Wash the car with AG Shampoo and Conditioner

2) Megs Paint Cleaner

3) Megs Polish

4) Megs NXT wax

5) AG Extra Gloss Protection sealant

 

Although the AG sealant is non-abrasive, and the finish on the car (Ebisu Black) looks good, but not sure if i've ultimately wasted my layer of wax underneath the sealant?

 

Thoughts?

Just put another layer on top,won't do any harm.

To be honest, I'd always put sealant on after polishing but before wax. (If I was going to use a sealant in my detail)

 

However the Autoglym Extra gloss protection was designed to be their Final stage application.

 

At the time they only had Super Resin Polish on the market and no wax, not unlike now with their HD wax.

 

So I'm not entirely sure of the EGP make up and it's ability to be a sealant under wax.

 

I guess it would be a trial and see experiment.

Also always wait the proper curing time before adding another coat of sealant, wax or wax on top of sealant.

I have always just washed and polished, looks good after a polish and when it rains the water beads and just runs straight off. Takes a few days of driving in the wet for the dirt to build up on it. Didn't know you need to seal then wax after a polish. Sounds like far too much effort as just hoovering, washing, cleaning windows followed by a polish takes me all day
