The car is an 03 GT with UK satnav, brembos, leccy heated leather seats etc, in burnt orange. I've let it go in the past but the post about rear axle problem has got me thinking! Not sure whether to leave it or not? I've had the car recently delimited (noise was happening before this) do you think these guys would of sussed out a problem when they were doing this work? Fitting a delimiter under the bonnet means they would have no reason to go mooching around the rear axles. I have heard however that it is an expensive fix if not under warranty which your car obviously isn't Maybe an independant garage could do it cheaply? Leenx Posted September 25, 2006 Share Posted September 25, 2006 Thanks Sarnie, not even sure this is the problem - if one at all,I've got to get the tracking sorted out on the car when it's back from repair (second time as original repair work from insurance was shabby) so will get them to take a look. I've had a few jap cars (Impreza ,EVO) but they've always been manual, so I'm going to request a test drive and see how I feel about the tiptronic.. Leenx Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 I've had a TT, RX8, STI Type UK, Cupra R, Megane 225, and although not originally what I was looking for I ended up with a triptronic Zed and for me it's by far the best drive, I don't even miss the changing of gears as you have the straight upward tiptronic which feels almost the same. Also because i travel a long way to work and get stuck on the notorious M25 it's a breeze driving it! Also it's potently quick off the lights as there's no clutch work involved! Nick Ditto to all the above, except I've never been near the M25 in the Z - the M8 is just about as bad at times, though, and the tiptronic allows you to relax as you crawl along.
