Painting engine bay bits...

I am going to get some paint to touch up some of the bits in my engine bay... Would brake caliper paint do? As it is heat resistant?

Well originally I was going to do the plenum but I am now polishing... So not sure now! lol

Well one thing for sure is the strut brace mounts.... would I need heat resistant for those?

i just bought some matt black heat resist paint.

 

if it doesnt work it can always be repainted. just try it and see how it goes

Yeah that's what I figured.... Might actually paint my strut brace bronze.... Instead of polishing it....

No need for heat resistant paint in the engine bay, unless you're going to paint the exhaust manifold,

2K acrylic is plenty tolerant of heat, my plenum is done with this and i have painted lots of other engine parts in the past, i even did a whole bike engine in it with no problems.

Wahoo! Thanks for that... I always just thought you needed to use heat resistant just to be safe lol
