Bruce Lee
I've just bought a Uk 2006 face lift Z GT and although all seems well I am getting some worrying clunky noises when changing gear/engaging the clutch a low speed - 1st to 2nd. Should I be worried?
alessandro
Welcome make your self known in the introduction & welcome forum. Regarding your clutch, it doesn't sound right too me but I'm sure some one with more knowledge will be along soon
mjh511
I bought a 05 GT Z two months ago and I have the very same problem - only in first and second - I feel I have to be very careful in these gears to avoid the clunk but I also would like to know what it is as its spoiling the drive at the moment - I feel the clutch bites too high up and needs adjusting
CaptainSensible
The Zed gear change does take some getting used to and 1st to 2nd is notoriously tricky. Can be a little clunky as well but nowt to worry about.
narcotix
My Zed has been a bit clunky when changing gears for a while now .. I think you'll just get used to it after a few weeks ...
Neilp
It's normal, you will get used to it. It's generally worse when cold. I don't even notice mines now.
Bruce Lee
Thanks for the advice guys. It's still clunky in 1 st to 2nd when cold but I've done 8k miles in the car now and no other issues have come about.
