  1. All the BMW and Mercs are rear wheel drive and appear to be getting around with confidence which I believe is due to the snow tyres - expected to take it home before the snow came so no snow tyres, to buy a set of snow tyres for a couple of months is not cost effective - not complaining that it not 'good' in snow I knew it wouldnt be 'good' in the snow because I'd read articles about it but my shock was how bad it is - had at least a foot of snow to date and its snowing now it will stay parked up for the forseeable future.
  2. Been driving the zed in Germany since June had many many admiring looks, positive comments and compliments - it all felt pretty good - I had always intended to drive the car home before Christmas and take a hire car for Jan /Feb as the winter in Germany can be bad - but how lucky was I when the snow came in November!!! - I have been severely embarassed on the road having to abandoned the car in the middle of nowhere, slightest incline it looses grip, its like driving on a knife edge the most crappiest cars are able to kick sand in my face (or in this case snow) - I have lost a lot of confidence in the car, how can it be sooooooo bad, its now parked up at the factory where I am working waiting for a thaw so I can take it home and leave it there - really embarassing - I have a Astra hire car with snow tyres now and its brilliant !!! - on top of all this I have one of THOSE wifes. Merry Chrismas !
  3. I bought a 05 GT Z two months ago and I have the very same problem - only in first and second - I feel I have to be very careful in these gears to avoid the clunk but I also would like to know what it is as its spoiling the drive at the moment - I feel the clutch bites too high up and needs adjusting
  4. Paid 12800 for 05 GT with 25,000 on the clock FSH with loads of extras thought that was about right at the time but thinking now it probably could have been in better condition inside - love it

    Punctures

A 'friend ' has pointed out to me that if I should have a puncture and I use my spare there may be a problem with the punctured tyre fitting in the boot as they are larger than the spare space saver - is there any truth in this
  6. Just had a P3 service at MGT Racing in Nuneaton, car has only done 27,000 but is 5 years old so plugs were changed total cost of service £372
  7. Thanks for the welcome and the comments
  8. Just done around 800 miles up to and around the Lake District great fun in the z but my wife is asking why we didnt see another Z in the four days travelling up there, driving around and the return journey !!!! - I've told her it's an exclusive motor but even I am beginning to wonder - I just want that warm feeling of flashing another z on the road - I am up to 27.000 so taking it to MGT Racing in Nuneaton for service they are Nissan Skyline specialists but do 350z as well and have great feedback on the forums - will give feedback on service when completed
  9. I'll take the boot mat if you still have it - is that delivered?? - hopefully
