rich5259 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 The great thing about the game next Saturday is ...... 1 of Germany or Argentina will get knocked out Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 In a class, the teacher is asking everyone what jobs their parents have... Teacher to kid: and what does your dad do? Jimmy: he's a stripper in a gay bar and often lets other men touch his privates After class, teacher takes Jimmy to one side... Teacher: is that true about your dad? Jimmy: no, he plays football for england but I was too embarassed to say Quote

Parris Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Haha nice. The game was poor. England never looked like they had the ability to beat Germany and half the team looked like they didn't give a crap Quote
rich5259 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Blatter says "Sorry" and agrees to revisit goal-line technology in July http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8771294.stm Too little and too late - at 2-2 the dynamic of the match would have been different, we'd probably still have lost but perhaps it would have broken the morale of the youngsters in the German team Quote
mrobinson2 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I agree, we still would have got beat, every break ze germans made looked like ending in another goal for them! Quote

rich5259 Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 heres a good article that i've just read: http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/spo ... 57820.html I like that - lots of sense there. IIRC the french league teams aren't allowed to spend beyond their means, so debts are minimalised - not at the £500 to £700 million level that Liverpool and Man U have. Time for a limit on debt levels, as well as a limit on the number of foreigners on the pitch at any one time - you can have 15 in your squad (so no restraint of trade arguments) but not play more than 5 at any time. Might as well throw in a salary cap too as well - perhaps a total wage bill limit like in the Rugby Premiership Quote
