CF hood

Hi all, just a quick question regarding the legality of CF hoods.

 

I was browsing http://www.visracing.com/newcatalog/Nis ... -Hood.html

 

and I noticed the "intended for OFF ROAD use only" Does that mean, that said item is illegal to use on the road? in the UK? or US?

 

if so, are there anyway to make it legal?

 

Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated

Make sure you use bonnet pins/catches and it should be OK.

I read about this somewhere else where someone had bought a cheap carbon fibre bonnet described as for track use only and that was exactly what it was. Poor quality, poor fit etc. I can't say if the vendor was the same as you are looking at but forum members have some very good c/f bonnets and you may be advised to reword your question to ask for recomendations.
