Parts needed for P3 service

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and girls, my Z is due a p3 service at the end of july. I have a trusted mechanic who has worked on all of my cars and specialises in high performance cars so i want him to do the P3 on my Z.

He is a brilliant mechanic but he doesnt bother shopping around for parts so they are always expensive from him therefore i like to supply my own.

What parts do i need to supply him with and where can i get them from at the best price?

any help much appreciated

so is all i need

5 litres of oil (5w30?)

an oil filter

an air filter

spark plugs

in addition to this it would be beneficial to change

aux belts (what does this consist of and how much will it cost?)

gearbox oil (is this a specific type of oil and how much does it cost?)

diff oil (is this a specific type of oil and how much does it cost?)

I can't remember how much the oils were now. I think the belts were about £60/£70 from Nissan, not a massive job to fit once the car is on the ramps and the oil is being changed as well.

Forgot to mention that I had a coolant change as well when I had my P3. I pretty much went to town on my service as it was the first service I had done on it. It had been serviced every year but because it wasn't by Nissan I didn't know what what had been done so just wanted piece of mind everything had been done properly. From looking at the fluids that were drained and the belts though it was probably a waste as the fluids were clean as a whistle, but at least I know its all good now.
