I had intended to use a copper based anti-seize compound such as Copaslip, but on another group it was mentioned how the copper component reacts with aluminium to produces a rather nasty oxide. I wonder if anyone has had experienced of this ? There is a product called Alumslip which the manufacturer claims can be used "where there is a prejudice against the presence of copper". rtbiscuit Posted June 16, 2010 Share Posted June 16, 2010 aluslip will do the job nicely, but copaslip should be fine. it won't eat the spacer but you might get a discolouration of the back of the spacer. but you'll get that naturally anyway even if you don't use it.
