UK spec BOSE Head Unit (6cd changer)

Im looking to upgrade my current JDM Bose head unit to a UK one so at least the radio works on it (as the band expander is pants) and I will get the cd skipping fault repaired at a local specialist. (or if your UK one has had the cd skipping fault repaired - even better )

 

So if anyone has one spare please let me know.

hmm i think you'd need all the other rubbish that goes with it im afraid, theres a subwoofer and amp.

You would also need to get the unit divorced from the old car then paired to yours, waste of time, get yourself a nice aftermarket headunit.

Yes..the general consensus here is the BOSE headunit(UK or JDM) is rubbish..u are better off with an aftermarket head unit anyway. I can't justify the amount of money i have spent on restoring my Zed..hence i am going to attempt the iPOD tape deck hack mod

Oh thought the BOSE head units werent specific to a car?? or if i bought the UK head unit with the code would this suffice?

Arent the subwoofer/amp etc exactly the same in UK as they are in JDM?

 

Ive looked into aftermarket head units but, this means I would lose the functionality of my JDM sat nav screen (i converted it a while back to a UK sat nav) as it only works off a 305z Bose head unit.

 

Ill PM Lee again to see what he's got and can offer me.
