If your gonna upgrade wheels, suspension, Turbo's, exhausts etc you may want to go with an import as they start cheaper and there is no warranty to void. If your gonna keep it pretty much standard and you can afford it go for a uk car Quote
Danny21 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 where in the south would be the best place for a import? is the insurance more as its an import? as i wouldn't change much on the outside really!! cheers Quote

When I was looking to buy my original zed I looked at imports and my insurer wanted an extra £180 but I'm sure every insurer will be different, some will charge you more, some may not charge you any extra. The most important question is whats your budget? Quote
Danny21 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 was going to send quite a bit but have changed my mind and want to get a cheeper one. so about £18,000 MAX really gutted i cant find a uk car though. also need to rid of current car!!! Quote
Rob_Quads Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 If you search around you should be able to find one for 18K with around the 30K on the clock, specially if you don't mind the more common silver/gunmetal ones. If you want a rarer colour like red or black then its much harder to find a cheaper one. Quote
Danny21 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 Cheers bit gutted now as i wanted Black really, but also like red and blue!!! i will keep looking Quote
M13KYF Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 There is already ample imported cars here so why not look at those before importing one from Japan. It's a lot less hassle. Quote
Danny21 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Posted August 24, 2006 So what are the main differences between the uk and import? or are they not worth worrying about? Quote
M13KYF Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 check out the jdm section. You will find a list of all the differences. Quote
