Hi All,

My first year with My Z is nearly up and 2 events loom. Both could turn into a robbery.

1. Tax £400+ (this is robbery buy any name)

2. 1st service. (Possible robbery or not)

Done a bit of negotiation and got this down to £110 and I supply my own oil. This is with Evans Halshaw in Leeds.

They have assured me the have a couple of Z specialists and will put 1 of them on it. I have given them and ultimatum, that if they **** this up, they will not see my Z again. I take it there's not much involved in this 1st service.

My Z has done 8200 miles and had an oil and filter change at 4000 for my own piece of mind.

So.. what are your thoughts on this ?

1. Evans Halshaw.... and...

2. The cost of the service.

The tax is a no win. Like a kick in the jewels. (Sickening and painful)

Thanks. :D

That seems a pretty good deal. I paid £240 plus VAT in the local shamefull dealer JFE Nissan in Exeter. Will never go back there as it was the worst experience of my life. They didnt even bother to clean the car and wrongly told me that I needed 2 new tryes and a wishbone!

better telling them NOT to wash it, that way the paint won't get damaged

I went bazerk when they made a state of my car

A service is a service, there's not really that much that can go wrong on a P1. It's not like they're dropping the engine/gearbox or anything.

I wouldn't worry too much about it as it's a neccessary evil.

Just be firm with them that there will be consequences if they mess up - I suggest waiting in the carpark for the entire time they are working on it, possibly sharpening a knife and grinning like a maniac at them.
