gunmetalzgt Posted December 27, 2009 Share Posted December 27, 2009 My friend has a 530d m sport. his turbo blew and he had alot of smoke coming out the exhaust. the turbo has now been changed and the car is running like normal but there still smoke coming from the exhaust when the car is at a stand still. my question is: Is this normal and just oil slowly burning off in the exhaust? Could it be the head gasket gone? would a turbo failing damage the head gasket in any way? any help would be much appreciated from you techies!! More than likely there will still be excess oil in the Zorst and will soon burn off. If there are still emissions in around 100 miles then further investigation will be required. johnnywas Posted December 27, 2009 Share Posted December 27, 2009 was the new turbo bled properly as starting up the engine without the turbos been bled can nacker them in seconds,you should always make sure the turbos have oil,some guys remove the spark plugs and crank the engine over till their is oil pressure, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
