Sold my car today - looking for a zed

Guys sold my car today and after much thought over an rx8 im 100% looking for a zed now.

 

i have my van to use so in no desperate rush to buy one however i have been looking on autotrader today, imports seem to be criminally cheaper than uk models .

 

im looking to spend £10500 ish , want something with no more than 45,000 miles if pos

 

is there any issue with using higher ron fuel with a jap import ? i have had a quick scan of the FAQ, how many of you are running imports ?

 

what do you think of these , any comments on the cars or experiences with these garages ? imports direct seem to have loads in

Well personally the last one on paper looks to be the nicest, i would always get the newest model possible, and with that one you also have the ST package.

I've got a JDM, £ 10200 and 50K in great conditions filling up on tesco 99.

Did you have a look on here if there is anything that you like? Couple of people are selling good examples

do you have to use super unleaded or can you get an import mapped to run on 95 ron as a uk one ?

All I have is a load of paperwork on japanese which obviously doesn't mean anything to me. I got the car from a member on here and took it straight to a garage to get it checked and all there was wrong with it were that needed new tyres.

 

On petrol, you can still run her on 95 no probs but it will loose a bit of power, I guess you can get her re maped but not sure if is worth it, ( someone will be along soon with the answer ). There are lots of treads about which fuel and where from including on of mine when I first go it.

As far as I was aware you should run ANY 350Z on super unleaded when possible, regardless of whether it's an import or UK version and only be using standard RON unleaded when you can't get super unleaded.

everyday is a school day eh !

 

as the fuel in japan is likely to be 102 ron , and ours at best is 99 ron , on an imported zed will it run lean or can the ecu adjust to the lower grade fuel ?

The ECU adjust automaticly to give the best performance

I see most imports have fabric seats, i take it leather gt ones dont come up for sale here very often?

Brembos are a good kit. Worth having IMO. A set would run you about 1k as an upgrade.

 

There are actually quite a few sets of leather seats sold on here, the cloth is usually favoured for track work.
