ug45cwb Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 The mobile fitter guy lost my wheel nut key for me, so I bought a new one from eBay. It must have been a moment of stupidity, because I assumed they were all the same. Now obviously the new key will not fit the old nuts. I know of no way to get the old nuts off. Can anyone suggest a solution? Cheers. Quote
UNABASHED Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 You can get a locking nut remover tool from places like Halfrauds, other than that I'd say get them drilled off and buy new locking nuts? Quote

M13KYF Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 why not just get a proper one from Nissan. Dont think there that expensive Quote
Ekona Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 why not just get a proper one from Nissan. Dont think there that expensive This. They're only about £14, I bought a couple just in case. Pop your head in and get them to tell you which type of wheel nut you have and then get the part number for that key. Quote
ug45cwb Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 The nut remover tool is worse than useless. All I managed to do was cut my finger and scratch my wheel. The nuts have some kind of ceramic edge that stops it working. Calling nissan now Quote

ug45cwb Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 My girlfriend often threatens to forcefully remove my nuts - I could send her your way? My nuts are ceramic, doubt she could have any impact. Welcome to try tho! Quote
jacr87 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I misplaced my key two weeks ago and got one ordered from my dealer. £17 inc vat Do you still have the bag or security code for the locking key? Some owners peel off the security label and stick it in the glove box. Worth a look. Quote
