Esso Ultron Fully Synth - your thoughts..?

I stand to corrected here but Ultron is a 5w-40 ? My book says the 350Z should have 5w-30, with 3 additional choices all being 30 weights. I am no expert in Exxon Mobil products but I believe you have either Ultron 5w-40 which I believe is not manufactures recommendations or an Exxon 5w-30 which I think you will find is a semi synthetic oil exceeding manufactures recommendations.

Either way its the same company as Mobil and is easily a good enough oil; however if a thicker oil than necessary is in the car it will incur whats called 'pumping losses' , the pump working a little harder than necessary, which will reduce power/MPG a small amount and as a by product of the pump working harder produce more heat so the temperatures will be up a little. Whether you will notice either is another matter.
