2002 350z Windscreen

Ive got a 2002 350z and is an Import and ive noticed a chip out of the windscreen and it got me wondering if the windscreen should smash do Autoglass have a replacement for my car or is it a special order??

depends if its a heated one. It came as a option on the JDM models. Otherwise it should be the same as a UK model

Not heated Thanks for the answer, the 'hole' in the windscreen is a stone and its actually come through to the inside and knocked a lump out onto the dash!!

Well thank goodness it didn't hit you or that might have been nasty. Is the glass all starting to crack around it?

I too have a chip/crack, is it common place for insurance companies to replace/fix without it affecting my n.c.b etc.....?

yeah but check out your insurance policy. Sometimes you may need to pay a excess of £50

No not cracking at all its a neat little puncture with the stone wedged in, Darent remove it in case the screen cracks or it whistles at high speed.

i got a chip the other day from a caravan *shakes fist* but the stone didnt stick in it thats just scary

I have just had my windscreen replaced...... took autoglass 3 days to order. If you do get it replaced then remember to also get them to order the trim piece that goes over the top, as if you pull it off it wont go back without having thumb dents all the way along it.

I had mine done on my insurance, £70....

 

If you get it done also make sure they put the windcreen wipers back on the right way round..
