hagar Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 but out of interest do they ever have camera vans on the bridges of motorways, such as the m4, at night time when its dark? Say at half 11 Quote
350Znismo Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 They need light to process the picture so i think not, i only see them during daylight Quote

Winged Rodent Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 There are speed measuring systems out there that can work in the dark, SPECS for example although this is of the 'fixed' type. There is also a system called MAROM, which is a portable/mobile sytem that uses infra-red. It's been trialed in the UK, but as far as I'm aware is not yet type-approved. What you probalby saw was an ANPR van. You'll know for certain it wasn't a speed-camera van, if you don't get a brown envelope through the door in the next couple of weeks. Quote
hagar Posted June 20, 2006 Author Posted June 20, 2006 i saw no van, at the indicated speed I was more concerned on the road than the bridge /angelic Quote
