Envy Valeting Posted June 4, 2009 Share Posted June 4, 2009 TT, Tims Tour LOL! Following on from this job it was once again time to hit the road and keep on moving! The Lake District was still damp as I left my B+B in Ulverston and made my way south west. Passed Martinmacs turnoff, nice part of the world mate Morecombe Bay looks nice Waiting for my boat Into the belly of the beast We're off, a nice 4hr crossing from Heysham to Douglas. Flat calm day, but luckily I had a cabin booked and had a rest. Only got disturbed when i started to move up and down the bed without trying:lol: Approaching Douglas some 4hrs later Here I was kindly met by Cupra Dave (off this forum) and he took me back to his place which was to be my base for the next 2 weeks. No rest though as it was bags in the room then out in his Scoob for a lap of the famous TT course, excellent! The next day Dave and his wife were at work so I made busy and got some practise in. Washed, clayed and given a coat of platinum. Tyres dressed, glass cleaned. Dave took me to have a look over Douglas and the harbour and then a trip to the Laxey wheel and Laxey mine.
