kta Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 Loving the tax disc holder, do i get a discount for finding the blanks? I will have the design for the shift pattern i would like sorted tomorrow when i get a minute to sit down and draw it sorely tempted towards the playing cards too (question: does a normal size pack of cards fit in the case?) i don't think a normal pack will fit inside no, will check when i get back home though ( in london on work for a couple of days atm ) Quote

Tbh i haven't made a girth in stainless yet but will try and work it out (hmm a chance to be the first owner of a unique gearknob...? ) handbrake handle is something else i've been thinking about, it's on my very long list of to-do's but atm 'Real Life' is stopping me doing much at all (though for once its for the very best reasons.... ) Quote

rich5259 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I'll look for the guide on removing the knob, think it's mole grips once the gaiter is loose Quote
Husky Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I'll look for the guide on removing the knob, think it's mole grips once the gaiter is loose yeah thats the trick if your lucky itll be an easy one if its on tight like mine was it took everything i had and im not a weakling Quote
rich5259 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 It's easy if you have 3 hands I got Joy to hold the wrench so I could use both hands on the old knob, 3 tight turns and then it came free of the threadlock. Fitted the tax disc holder too. The knob was a bit darker than I expected, but looks great in situ Because I know you like them, some photos..... Quote
Husky Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 that brushed stainless... if so you knew fine well how dark it was having seen mine Quote
rich5259 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Yeah, but i saw yours in bright sunlight, seems to be less dark in brighter lighting Great weight, seems shorter than the original even though it's the same height - wonderfully tactile item Quote
