TDI Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Hi Guys, I heard from Cosworth yesterday that they are developing an intake plenum for the 350Z. I don't have a release date yet, but I think it's very encouraging that Cosworth are continuing to take an interest in the VQ35 Quote
Chesterfield Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 The continued interest from cosworth does sound good. It will be interesting to see if its a lightweight metal plenum or a plastic jobbie. Quote
Removed Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 if it's a metal one I doubt it'll be lightweight looking forward to see some figures for it Quote
hagar Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 surely, so long as the plastic doesnt suffer, they would be better using plastic? I only say this as even after sessions on the track the v+ is fairly cool the the touch so is keeping density down more than a metal one? Quote
TDI Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 Hey Guys, I saw a 3D model of this manifod today. It is nothing like I had expected I can't say too much but I can tell you it's a combination of cast alloy and carbon fibre, that the design looks quite radical to me and that it is designed to produce another 16hp. Fair play Cosworth Quote

TDI Posted September 10, 2006 Author Posted September 10, 2006 Hey Guys, oooooooooooooo interesting.... damn I wish I lived down south to come have a chat... any price idea??? I agree, it is very interesting. The head of Cosworth USA came for a meeting at TDi yesterday, so I can tell you that there are some even more interesting developments in the pipeline. There are no price indications on the plenum yet - sorry Quote
