Rev limiter

Thats just the shift light that you can set using those lights, not the actual rev limiter.

+1

I'd take your Z into a Nissan Dealership or a independent specialist and get them to see what error codes are being chucked up. Something isn't right.

Advance Motorsport or TDI ar 2 you could try

Yes, all it changes is the little light on the dash. You didnt think Nissan would give you access to the rev limiter did you? :surrender:

And you always have and always will be limited :p

Yes, but your tuner set a rev limit still. If he didnt, dont come crying to me when you blow your engine up :p

As I said, you will always be limited, didnt say you couldnt move the limit. There will always be a safe limit to how much the engine can rev no matter what you do to it ;)

In reality the torque curve falls off and thats what detemines my shift points.

I didn't realise these come in £395 +vat! not bad!!

Just dont tell any Evo drivers you have a unichip on an FI car :blackeye:

Well - it works mate. Its been on a year and never a CEL!

and I've seen conversations which have taken that long with people

umming and ahhing about maybe getting other ECU's done. (at over twice that cost)

I 'm sure it world work on an NA too

On its definately more than enough for NA. I assume you did your research when going FI and chose the engine managemant appropriately. Just I nearly got lynched when I mentioned tuning my Zed with one to the MLR chaps :blackeye:

Dastek did a custom piggyback for APS. Boggo standard on APS conversions at the time. Part of the 180 odd bits which make up the kit.

The cost of the alternatives from PE made it a no brainer.

The car has just been into the main dealer for a free 15 minute check over, suprise suprise they found the problem, just as I have, but not the cause.

The biggest suprise is that they want £530 to just find the cause of the problem not including any additional parts or labour!

How can they sleep at night?!!

Needless to say, I am not paying that. Going to see if RS Tuning can help.

Typical dealer  Glad to hear you had the sense to say no. They'd just end up throwing parts at it until it started working again

Hope someone on here has some ideas for you and get it sorted :)
