buying a damaged/repaired car ?

sorry to resurrect an old thread, noticed that nobody has brought it yet at a start bid of £9995, wondering if it would be worth picking up if I could get it for a silly price, was thinking of offering £8k to see how desperate he is. He has all the bits to put it back to OEM apart from the front bumper. I realize a crash damage is hard to sell on etc but for £8k or there abouts do you think its worth a try ? Low milage 06 GT. Would of course get it fully RAC checked and road tested first.

If you have it checked out and intend to keep it for some time then the resale value is less important. I would say its worth a cheeky bid.
