MattMe Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Ayup guys. After looking at the dribble-inducing pictures of your cars in a post further down I've decided I want to make a subtle change to mine. I'm after some splash guards - a nice cheap (hopefully), standard looking mod that doesn't require huge work or time or money and maybe provides a bit of extra protection to the paint. So, where can I get them from? I've seen a few for sale on American websites, but none over here. Preferably I'd like them in Blade silver, but I can get them sprayed without too much fuss so non-painted or the wrong colour would be fine at the right price. I'm assuming they're difficult to get hold of because they're a Nissan part? So any shops, websites or anybody who has some lying around please let me know! Cheers. Quote
BulletMagnet Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 First stop for OEM Nissan bits, I'd say give either ZMANALEX or R35LEE a PM, other than that, I'd say Holdcrofts. I'm not sure, but it also may be worth asking Chilli Red too (Envy South) Quote
Stew Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 ebay is worth a look. Mike at MJP and Chris at JDM Performance are also worth looking at. They have access to most Nissan parts for a fair price. Quote
MattMe Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 Hmmm... Holdcrofts website didn't yield too many results. just car sales by the looks of things. (Am I missing something?) JDM Performance look promising but they're £50 a pair and it looks like they come unpainted. £100 for some mud flaps does not seem like a good deal. Think I'd rather go second hand but know that's unlikely. I've PM'd ZMANALEX & R35LEE - perhaps they'll be able to help out... Cheers guys. Quote
Stew Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 £100 is normal. They are moulded and are an exact fit. You can sometimes get lucky on ebay. Quote
MattMe Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 eBay at the moment are around £80 with £100 shipping! I'm not paying that, no way no how. Any idea if they'd come with the fittings I'd need, or do I just buy a few self tappers and go for it? Quote
Stew Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 If you buy from a trader here they'd come with a fitting kit. As I say, it's a proper product. That's what you're paying for. Guaranteed fit and quality. Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Have you tried your local Nissan dealer, no idea how much they would charge (probably the earth) but it’s well worth finding out… Quote
Renegade Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 I E mailed JDM they did use to supply them painted but Nissan stopped doing that. Quote
