machineman1 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Hi, if I buy a zed from an independent dealer and it's only 2 years old with a fsh and stamped book every 9000 miles, will the remaining year be transferable to me? Cheers. Quote
martinmac Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Yes, providing the servicing is done to the Nissan schedule you will get the full 3 year warranty. Quote
machineman1 Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 Cheers Martin, Was serviced at 9,18 and 25000 miles, clock showing 29000 currently. Quote
z-man Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Should have been 9,000 then 18,0000 then 27,000 miles surely? Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Is it a 60000 miles warranty? It’s 3 years or 60,000 miles, which ever comes sooner… Quote
machineman1 Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 Should have been 9,000 then 18,0000 then 27,000 miles surely? Yes, 25000 was early I think. Cheers CS and everybody. Quote
martinmac Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 It could well be that the previous owner tried to sell privately so had it serviced to save getting knocked down. Quote
Gurjeet Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 I bought 2007 zed from a mitsibushi dealer in jan, had a year left on the warranty. Do i need to contact nissan to officially transfer the warranty over? And does the servicing need to be done at a main dealer to keep the warranty valid? Quote
Ekona Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Warranty is transferred automatically as a right of the sale of the car, no need to do anything. Servicing needs to be done to OEM standards using OEM-quality parts. Basically you don't have to go to a main dealer, but it's really going to help your case should you ever need a warranty claim.
