8j 17" alloy>????

i have 17" 225/50/17 rear tyres on at the min and wanna upgrade to the bigest i can fit on the rim. anyone know what size tyre to will go on a 8j wheel????

yeah 17" wheels just need wider tyres on the rears but not sure how wide to go on the 8j rim

You could safely go up to a 235 on an 8J rim, but you will need to drop the profile down to 45 to maintain a similar rolling radius.
