Does anybody know of a good reliable tuning garage that could do servicing on my Zed? I do have a Nissan Garage in my town (Glyn Hopkins Nissan), but since I have never had a Nissan before, I won't know how good or bad they are at servicing. rtbiscuit Posted January 20, 2009 Share Posted January 20, 2009 i have a simiar problem, i too am in suffolk. in ipswich. i think i may have found a garage, but i need to ring them to find out what experience they have if any with the 350z. i've been there several times for mot's and custom exhaust work, where they welded in a sports cat for an old car i had. i think they do deal with performance cars, but will need to ring and find out. i have been happy with the minor work done so far, but want to make sure they are competant with the Zed. BulletMagnet Posted January 20, 2009 Author Share Posted January 20, 2009 rtbiscuit...I'm from Ipswich too, lol I was gonna use Lorven Performance Services in Martlesham, but it seems they closed shop and moved, but I dunno if they ceased altogether or not. They were good imo, cos they did do the Tein Suspension on my Honda Prelude. They used to share the workshop with Hangar 11, the Lotus Specialist. I've been watching posts on recommended dealers for my forth coming service, the nearest thus far is in Dartford - so I'll give them try. Only ~1hr if you time the journey to miss traffic. He too lives in Ipswich and has the dreaded axle clicking prob. After calling Glyn Hopkins Ipswich, they gave him the "Oh, really....never heard of that....lemme check..." bullshit. He then phoned up Nissan Bury St.Edmunds (he works in Bury) and they said "Yeah, we've had one in before and we know what to do" and seemed more helpful in general. Steve, who used to be one half of LPS is back in the area and is now working at Broadlands garage, off Foxhall Rd. I'm sure he would be happy to look after your car.
