Jammy007 Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Just curious as I was reading about detailing products on here and I was shocked to hear the amount of stories about poor paint quality, orange peel etc. I was just wondering if anyone has orange peel on a zed which HASN'T been resprayed? Is this something that can manifest itself due to poor paintwork protection / detailing or is it only a problem which arises after a respray? Quote
GIXXERUK Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 much more likely after a respray imo, due to the wafer thin nissan paint its very unlikely you will see orange peel Quote
Jammy007 Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 Anyone got a picture to see an example of orange peel on a zed? (please, please, please refrain from posting up ANY silly pictures) - sorry for ruining your fun guys Quote
IanS16 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 http://my350z.com/forum/lounge-off-topi ... uined.html Orange peel on a Zed (sorry, not a funny link) This was on a sprayed bumper though, not an original nissan paint job. Quote
Jammy007 Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 Exactly what I was looking for thanks Ian. I now know what orange peel is and mine certainly doesn't have that. I know I've checked my car top to bottom but was just worried i'd missed a trick and not spotted something. Keep up the good work guys Quote
